Tableview, perched along the stunning coastline of Cape Town, offers more than just breathtaking views. It is a place rich in history and culture, and at its heart lies the Lighthouse Coffee Company —a historical gem that invites both locals and visitors to discover its story. This establishment is not merely a café; it combines the delightful flavors of Cape Town with a legacy that spans decades.
Originally established in the early 1990s, the Lighthouse Coffee Company has transformed from a modest eatery into a beloved community hub. It reflects the spirit of Tableview while evolving with the tastes of its patrons, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the local culture.
I had a absolutely a pleasure and privilege to visit Lighthouse Coffee Company early morning on Saturday during my recent trip to Tableview Blouberg Capetown. It is tiny outlet on tourist busy street with a lower floor deck with a view to scenic majestic mighty table mountain. With cool breeze blowing from the cold front of Atlantic Ocean. There is also a small art gallery of hosting local water and oil paintings.
I ordered cappuccino and croissant while awaiting for my coffee I was chatted by local joggers and electrical motorbike riders they were parsing the coffee and delicatessens served by coffee shop. The coffee shop is favorite stopper over by jogger and local residents those take a morning walk alongside the tableview route.
My coffee was professionally and craft fully prepared by ever so friendly Barista Precious her latte art pout was fast, furious and artistic. As Barista judge and coffee critique I recommend Precious should be competing SCASA regional and national competition but unfortunately SCASA is closed door and untransformed entity of South Africa which still need to go through the refinement and tweaking to the calling of new South Africa SCASA is another story for another time.
